National Volunteer Week

It’s National Volunteer Week! This special week in April has been celebrated across the United States for over 40 years, beginning in 1974 when it was established by President Richard Nixon’s executive order. National Volunteer Week has now become a nationwide effort, encouraging people to get out and serve!

At Joni and Friends, we understand the importance of volunteering, and we are so thankful for the many dedicated volunteers who partner with us each day to serve people affected by disability through prayer and hands-on ministry! Because of your support and participation, we’re able to share the gospel message, equip churches for disability ministry, and reach out to people affected by disability worldwide. This week, we’re celebrating all of the faithful volunteers who roll up their sleeves and practice Christianity in action. Be sure to check out our blog all week long as we’ll be highlighting a few faithful volunteers from across the country!
