Joni Eareckson Tada and Rainey Floreen in the radio studioIf you're looking for a woman who works hard, and keeps a chipper attitude through thick-or-thin, then you need to meet my friend and coworker, Lorraine Floreen (or Rainey as we affectionately call her around Joni and Friends). She came on board with JAF over seven years ago to head up our Joni and Friends' Radio Ministry, and has been doing a great job expanding our radio outreach into new broadcasting formats, as well as into different languages (like Chinese)!

Rainey not only 'gets me up' on Wednesday and Friday mornings, but also travels with me (and gladly hands out 'Joni' gospel tracts to flight attendants and hotel maids everywhere). And this is why she's such an inspiration -- she loves to shine for the Lord Jesus Christ wherever she goes. Feel free to drop her a line on our radio page here at Joni and Friends!

Thank you Rainey for all your help to Joni so she continue to be and do all that God would have of her. I know your reward will be great. God Bless you!

Joni and Rainey, It's Daniel. How are you two? Hey...I miss not seeing you. When are we going to do camp again together? It is so much fun to be at camp with you both! (and with Ken, of course!)

Oh! well if we are complimenting Rainey here...I am amazed that she looks as young as when we first met. she will have to say how many years that is-but we were considered "young marrieds" at the time. Now I don't know what category they call us but our Sunday school class isn't called young married anymore. She has radiated joy thorugh all the years I have known her even during tough times. Her legacy is in her beautiful children and now grandchildren and not material wealth. Mary McKennell

Hi Rainey! How fun! Finally a front view picture of you! I was pulling up the website this morning trying to find a picture of a picture. I am heartbroken because my Joni picture that I had hanging in my office has disappeared! I always told her story when people admired the picture. It was sitting on the floor waiting to be hung. Paul said it was ironic that someone would take a picture with Scripture on it. I had put it up and my current office mate took it down. So I was just biding my time till I could hang it up again. Well back to the needy vets in my little corner of the world. What a treat to see a picture of you this morning! Hugs and love-Mary

Thank you Rainey for "joyfully" serving the Lord and Joni & Friends. The radio programs are such a gift from heaven for all us shut-ins who need encouragement and christian fellowship. It allows us to "feel" connected. Blessings, Jody

Rainey is one of those I especially look forward to seeing when at the IDC. She's a terrific encourager and I too am glad to count her as a friend and co-worker in the ministry!

Paul mentions a dozen or so Raineys in Rom. 16--all blessings to him and instrumental in some way to his ministry. So, thanks, Rainey, for being another Tryphena or Persis or a Rufus's mom. Your names are all written there in God's "book of remembrance"! (Mal. 3:16-17).
