Joni speaking at a Beyond Suffering Course

On Monday morning April 18th, Ken and I will be driving to Biola University where we will be speaking to students enrolled in the "Theology of Suffering and Disability Ministry" class – this special class is an undergraduate course of study which our Christian Institute on Disability helped develop in partnership with Biola. When people ask "Joni, what excites you most about the ministry these days?" I always tell them about our partnerships with Bible colleges and seminaries – I'm thrilled to strike a fire in the hearts of young students to reach the world's disabled for Christ. Would you like to take part in one of our study programs? Right now we're taking registrations for our Beyond Suffering intensive to be held at the JAF International Disability Center, July 12th-16. Second Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” It’s all about ‘rightly dividing the Word,’ so pray about coming and studying with us – we hope to you in July!

If Jesus is the standard for ability, strength and wisdom, each of us here is deeply impaired; we have more in common with those of us considered the refuse of this world than we do with our Lord Jesus. Thank you Joni for providing human hope for those of us who live out Christian disability. Praise God for granting us your sanctified voice. We pray also that this teaching ministry will be so directed by Him that God's people will be inspired to greater depths of devotion. May you and Ken travel safely as well, all this in Jesus name we pray.
